Designed to empower early-stage organizations, this program offers a powerful blend of capital, expert mentorship, and a collaborative peer community to help social impact tech ventures thrive. Backed by years of success, the Fast Forward Accelerator has become a cornerstone in the nonprofit tech space. With a core commitment to social innovation, it supports founders building digital tools and solutions aimed at making measurable, scalable impact. What the Program Offers Each selected nonprofit will receive a $25,000 philanthropic grant to support its growth journey. Beyond funding, participants are guided through a robust, expertly designed curriculum. This includes essential training in both nonprofit and tech-specific areas, ensuring founders are equipped to lead with confidence and build scalable solutions. The program covers: Fundraising strategies tailored for nonprofits Board development and governance essentials Impact measurement tools and techniques Product development and technology roadmaps Go-to-market strategies Scaling and growth planning This unique combination of nonprofit wisdom and tech startup acumen makes the accelerator particularly valuable for founders at the intersection of technology and social good. A Global Community of Changemakers Founders join a dynamic cohort of peers who are tackling similar global challenges with technology. The accelerator places strong emphasis on peer learning and collaboration, offering an environment of support, feedback, and shared experience. This community doesn’t end after the program — graduates become part of the broader Fast Forward network, gaining access to a lifelong support system. The program follows a hybrid delivery model. It kicks off with an in-person event in San Francisco in February 2025, followed by mostly virtual sessions and culminating in Demo Days in May or June. Travel assistance is available for selected participants from outside the Bay Area, making it truly accessible to innovators around the world. Who Can Apply Tech nonprofit organizations from any country are encouraged to apply. U.S. 501(c)(3) status is not required — applicants must simply be legally registered nonprofits in their own countries. Fast Forward strongly values geographic diversity, and provides travel and accommodation support for in-person events. To be eligible, applicants must: Be an early-stage tech nonprofit Have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) already in place Use technology as the core driver of their solution Organizations in the idea stage are not eligible; however, Fast Forward offers open-source resources such as playbooks and its Funding Forward newsletter to support future applicants. Eligibility Insights Organizations that outsource their tech development can still apply, but preference is given to those with internal technical leadership or plans to hire a CTO. Leaders applying do not have to be founders, but they must hold decision-making authority and show strength in both vision and execution.
