The Africa-Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP) has announced the call for applications for its Online Training Program for Incubators and Accelerators, designed to build capacity and strengthen the innovation ecosystem across both continents. This initiative presents a unique opportunity for business support organizations (BSOs), incubators, and accelerators to enhance their operational effectiveness, improve service delivery, and expand their international networks.

Developed as a 30-hour virtual training course, the AEIP program aims to empower organizations that have been in operation for at least two to three years. The training is built around three core chapters—ecosystem mapping, organizational development, and program design, along with a specialized module on impact measurement and reporting.

For African MSME ecosystem builders, this is a chance to gain practical knowledge, adopt global best practices, and strengthen your hub’s capacity to support startups, access funding, and create measurable impact.

  • Certification (EU|BIC diploma) upon completing at least 80% of the program, adding credibility and recognition to your organization.
  • Actionable tools and frameworks to strengthen organizational structures, improve funding access, integrate digital transformation, and monitor impact effectively.

This training not only enhances participants’ ability to support entrepreneurs but also strengthens the innovation ecosystem by promoting sustainable growth and partnerships between Africa and Europe.

Eligibility Criteria

Organizations interested in applying must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a registered incubator, accelerator, or business support organization (BSO) with at least 2–3 years of active operation.
  • Be based in Africa or Europe.
  • Be able to commit staff members to participate actively in online training sessions and peer-learning activities.

The program encourages participation from innovation-driven organizations that are committed to scaling up their impact and building stronger networks across both continents.
