Admin, June 10, 2025June 10, 2025 Application Deadline: July 30, 2025 The Africa Dyslexia Advocate Fellowship (ADAF) is a continent-wide initiative designed to empower passionate individuals to become grassroots dyslexia advocates. Through expert training, peer collaboration, and strategic community engagement, fellows will work to challenge stigma, promote inclusive education, and support learners with dyslexia and related learning differences. Building a Movement Across Africa In 2026, ADAF will select outstanding advocates from each of Africa’s 54 countries to build a powerful network of leaders championing the rights and inclusion of individuals with dyslexia. This fellowship aims to foster policy change, increase public awareness, and mobilize support for inclusive learning environments. Fellowship Timeline and Structure Training Phase (February–March 2026) Duration: 2 months (virtual) Includes bi-weekly live sessions, peer learning, and mandatory project completion. Fellows must maintain at least 80% attendance. Completion of two supervised community-based projects is required for certification. Active Fellowship (April 2026–March 2028) Following successful training, fellows will: Lead at least two advocacy projects annually. Represent ADO at national and regional forums. Submit periodic reports highlighting progress and impact. Mentor future fellows and support broader campaigns. Who Should Apply? ADAF welcomes applicants from all sectors—education, health, media, civil society, business, and more. You don’t need to be an expert in dyslexia to apply.
